3Shires offers Nordic walking in the fresh air for all people, whatever their current level of fitness. We exercise in the great outdoors…gym walls replaced by beautiful views, birdsong, stunning countryside and fabulous company! Nordic walking is an awesome way to exercise and provides a total body workout. By using poles when walking you increase the number of calories you burn by around 40% because you’ll be working your upper body and lower body at the same time – genius!  Nordic walking is a technical fitness walk and, with the correct instruction and class engagement, you will be having fun as you walk your way to a fitter, happier you.

Exercising outdoors has huge benefits and is so much more exhilarating than being indoors.  Come along and experience it for yourself, you’ll be surprised at just how much fun it is.  We will help you reach your own personal fitness and health goals.  That might mean providing encouragement to walk further and quicker, lose weight, train for an event or challenge, or maybe it’s simply about getting out and meeting new people whilst exercising.  Whatever your goals, we are here to support you and help you get to where you want to be

After completing a ‘Learn to Nordic Walk’ course I immediately realised that this was totally different from anything I’d done before.

Being a Nordic Walking instructor is fantastic!  Working alongside people to support them in achieving their goals is my honour and pleasure. People start Nordic Walking for many different reasons from wanting to get fitter, lose weight, help recovery from illness or injury or to just exercise in a more social environment.

When I’m not Nordic Walking I work as a management coach. People face challenges that are individually unique but there are generally common underlying themes. Many people say the benefits of taking time out to exercise are enormous – and those who exercise outdoors report even better and more sustainable results. Exercising outdoors really does have massive value on many levels.

People, and their goals, are varied and I love working with them all. I can honestly say that nothing matches this type of wonderful exercise. Come along and see for yourself how Nordic Walking, a form of total body exercise, can work powerfully for you too!
